Build balance, athleticism, confidence and strong wrestling fundamentals in a structured program for developing youth athletes.
Our Youth Wrestling classes offer your child the opportunity to meet new friends, connect with mentors who will guide them to excellence, and learn transferable skills that will help them in all aspects of life. What we teach at Alex Martins BJJ Academy isn’t just about winning matches — it’s about instilling strong values and promoting positive personal growth!
As your child makes the journey from their first day on the mat to becoming a seasoned competitor, they learn about goal-setting and discipline. As they practice new wrestling techniques with their teammates, they gain teamwork and leadership skills. Each class helps them build focus and listening skills. And as a bonus, the confidence, resilience, and body awareness they gain serve as powerful anti-bullying strategies and practical self-defense!
Youth Wrestling at Alex Martins BJJ helps young athletes learn how to move with control, maintain a strong stance, finish takedowns safely and respond calmly under pressure. Classes combine technical instruction with positive coaching so students can improve fitness, resilience, teamwork and discipline whether they are new to wrestling or want to sharpen skills for competition.

The gym is beautiful, the members are friendly, and the jiu jitsu is top notch.Posted on Google jesse smithwickTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I travel the majority of the year. So I drop into whatever school looks good in the city that I’m in. Well today I came here and it’s an incredible school. If I lived in Dallas I would’ve signed up. I will also be recommending this academy to my friends if they are traveling to Dallas. 🤘Posted on Google Ben KraTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. when in Dallas!! world class jujutsu, fantastic training, space and great people - Very welcoming!Posted on Google harvey giddensTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been going to this academy for the past two years. I came here new as a blue belt. The competitiveness, the high-level intentional training, and community are massive pillars for me, and this place meets them with excellence. I love this place and am glad to call it my home academy.Posted on Google MijoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing gym! The staff and professors were all kind and welcoming! I myself came from out of town but they treated me like I was family. The technique was high level and the rolls were intense. If I’m ever in Dallas again I will most definitely visit again! OSS!Posted on Google marshall neipertTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alex Martins began his martial arts journey in 1997 at just 17 years old, training under Junior Cardoso in Manaus, Brazil. Today he holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and brings over two decades of experience to the mat.
With a passion that has taken him across the globe, Alex has competed extensively to sharpen his technique and expand his knowledge, always pushing to deliver the very best to his students. His teaching goes beyond submissions and sweeps: it’s about building discipline, boosting confidence, and setting people up for success both on and off the mats.
