Learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a structured, welcoming academy with beginner and advanced training for adults across Dallas.
Our BJJ program includes both Beginner and Advanced classes to meet the needs of everyone in Dallas. These workouts surround you with fighters of similar skills and abilities so that you can push one another and get better every single day.
At Alex Martins BJJ Academy, we help you perfect every element of this system, focusing on the ultimate goal of submitting your opponent in no time.
Unlike a lot of fighting systems, BJJ helps fighters overcome the size and strength of their opponent with superior leverage and technique. Our team in Dallas is here to help you master:
As your child makes the journey from white belt to black belt, they learn about goal-setting and discipline. As they practice new Jiu-Jitsu techniques with their friends, they gain teamwork and leadership skills. Each class helps them gain focus and listening skills. And as a bonus, they’ll also learn anti-bullying strategies and the fundamentals of self-defense!
You do not need to be in shape or have prior martial arts experience before starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our Adult classes at Alex Martins BJJ are carefully designed to help you understand techniques step by step, train with suitable partners, and improve at a sustainable pace. You will develop leverage, timing, movement, and problem-solving skills—all while getting a challenging workout and joining a focused community. I travel the majority of the year. So I drop into whatever school looks good in the city that I’m in. Well today I came here and it’s an incredible school. If I lived in Dallas I would’ve signed up. I will also be recommending this academy to my friends if they are traveling to Dallas. 🤘Posted on Google Ben KraTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. when in Dallas!! world class jujutsu, fantastic training, space and great people - Very welcoming!Posted on Google harvey giddensTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been going to this academy for the past two years. I came here new as a blue belt. The competitiveness, the high-level intentional training, and community are massive pillars for me, and this place meets them with excellence. I love this place and am glad to call it my home academy.Posted on Google MijoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing gym! The staff and professors were all kind and welcoming! I myself came from out of town but they treated me like I was family. The technique was high level and the rolls were intense. If I’m ever in Dallas again I will most definitely visit again! OSS!Posted on Google marshall neipertTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Alex Martins began his martial arts journey in 1997 at just 17 years old, training under Junior Cardoso in Manaus, Brazil. Today he holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and brings over two decades of experience to the mat.
With a passion that has taken him across the globe, Alex has competed extensively to sharpen his technique and expand his knowledge, always pushing to deliver the very best to his students.
